Elaine is a leading expert in the fields of African American travel trends, African American travel history and African American travel writing. She consults with travel and media professionals on those issues as well as provides assistance in locating the services of African American travel media professionals for assignments/appearances.

Since 1996, Elaine created and continues to maintain a network of over 150 African Americans who are engaged in the travel industry and/or travel media world. She sends them a quarterly newsletter that contains calls for submissions, press trips, residency programs, contests, news and much more.
