Go Girl: The Black Woman's Book of Travel and Adventure is the first travel book by and for African American women, an anthology of 52 riveting traveler’s tales by writers such as Maya Angelou, Gwendolyn Brooks, Audre Lorde, Jill Nelson, Alice Walker and Pearl Cleage. Elaine was featured in the February 2007 edition of Dichan magazine, Thailand's equivalent to our Vogue magazine. The story is about a conversation between Elaine and her Thai friend when she called to check on her after the Thailand political coup d'état, which took place in September of 2006.
